I would recommend using blue or pink insulation foam instead of the white packing foam.  It is much more sturdy, easier to seal and paint and cover with spackle etc.  You can get it in the US at home depot or Lowes.

The building however looks great!  I really love the damaged drainage spout! :-*

Thanks Darkoath, I'll try the insulation foam next time, for this one I was using what ever I found in my junk box. I had never used the styrofam packing material before and was not impressed with it.

Very nice. I like the way you painted the interior of the damaged wall the darker color. It looks like the old mud bricks under the layer of stucco. I'm not a big fan of that type of styrofoam either, but you made it look it great.

Darkoath,
Unfortunately pink/blue foam is a regional product (like those areas that get really cold).  In California they only seem to have the EPS foam at Lowes or Home Depot, primarily for garages.  For California wargamers, it is something of a unicorn, since to special order it, you need to purchase a large quantity.   :'(
Prof, someday I'll get to play on that...

Damn, that's why I have never seen it, thought I was looking in the wrong aisle.  Thanks for the heads up.

If you live through subzero winters, easily available pink foam is your reward.  lol

Guess I'll have to suffer through mild winters enjoying the back yard spa and rough it on building terrain pieces with inferior building materials-damn life can be a bitch some times. lol

Here is a small out building that I did over the weekend to add to my ruined village terrain.

These look really nice!
I'd give them a dusty drybrush with grey and grey-cream, just to unify them a bit. At the mo, they look a tiny bit garish.  ;)
