Not exactly Victorian, I suppose, but the guy that wrote it was partially responsible for founding the genre, so I think it can fit here with a slight squeeze:

A very different movie, lots of strange vehicles and aircraft. I loved the "gas of peace" the "Wings Over the World" group uses to subdue the warlords. The movie is probably more suited to Wierd World War One or WWWII but who cares its a fun one to watch.

It's a neat little peace, and no mistake. Also kinda spooky, in a way. Wells in his Fabian Socialist period, absolutely certain that science was the answer. But is Wings Over the World, really any less tyrranical than the warlord, or are they just nicer about it? o_o

Tyranny by any other name is still tyranny, but they were nicer than the warlords (except when they fire the space cannon and smash all the people with the concussion).

THANX FOR SHARING! I've allready saw 3 flv pieces of this film.
It is very interesting to see how people in Interwar imagine World War.
I LOVE the pathos way they filmed this. Its very dynamic (perhaps it was a blockbuster in 1936). Love old movies (another my fav its Metropolis)
Is there anything in the style of this movie?
