What do people use for Soviets for the Winter War against Finland?
28mm please.

you could use the earler war Soviets from bolt action minatuers.
They are being sold by warlord games at the moment.

Hi,
Battle Honours do Soviets in snow gear which are quite nice although you will probably have to order them from the states. Nice figures.
Baker Company do both Soviets and Finns. But I'd have to say im less than impressed with the quality of the sculpting of the Finns, cant speak for the Soviets though. The Sovs are in peaked hats.
The Winter War is a little side project for me at the moment, I'm just assembling my figures, vehicles, etc for it so I'd be interested to see what you pick.

Battle Honours Early Soviets are brillant. Add in the Warlord Games packs and you have a neat force.

Actually, if you are prepared to swap heads, the best of the lot would be Copplestones chaps in greatcoats with the shlem hatted Elite Bolsheviks. The Baker company figures look awful and the Bolt Action packs, whilst nice looking figures are annoyingly mixed from my point of view. I'd rather see packs of chaps in helmets and packs in shlem; command in greatcoats or summer gear not both but that's a minor quibble, I suppose. Pity the Maxim crew are all wearing the wrong headgear.
IIRC Westwind make Soviet Naval Infantry in greatcoats.
