I always assumed that this was a future sci-fi game. Now I realise that I could use my VBCW/WWWII figures here. Is this a good game?
-
YES
-
One of the be(a)st ;)
Simple, yet effective mechanics, and a good Mythos horror feel.
Buy it, you won't regret it if you like C'thulhu :)
-
YES!

Joroas as someone who knows me its a very good game mate.

I have just put a order in to Musketeers Miniatures for some of there IRA miniatures to make up a British threshold group of agents, so no reason not to use your VBCW miniatures.
-
Thanks for the speedy replies.
I also have a load of Artizan/Bob Murch pulp too. ::)
Okay, best way to buy it is? ???
-
I believe Cavalier Books stock it in the Uk.

Well, I couldn't say - I most often buy 'alternative' stuff from the source.... Just my way of supporting, cutting the intermediary link's profit.... In a broader perspective, on the other hand, to make all those goodies more broadly known, it is good to let retailers feel the demand, too.... ??? o_o My brain hurts.....

Where is it from originally?

If you can't buy from Cavalier Books then this site in Germany sells it, just make sure it's in before you order, I have bought miniatures from them and was happy, as you paying in Europe Vat is added there plus no customs’ ex duty to pay

From Uncle Mike site you run the risk of Vat Custom’s duty and a post office collecting fee, but I did receive my rule book in around 7 to 9 days, and never paid any duty, did that twice from there.

I was looking at these the other day for that very reason, and they do a pack of figures with shotguns, which will be useful :D
-
I made some inquires as I wanted to buy the odd individual, plus some packets and was told that is possible but the cost of the individual would cost slightly more to cast but not by much, so I have put a order in.

So you can order a individual figures from? That is awesome, as there is the odd figure or two I would like, but don't have the need for all the figures in the pack - do you pay for the whole pack, or only a percentage of the pack?

Here is the message
Question
Can I buy your miniatures as individuals, am talking about the IWP, I play a game called Strange Aeon a Cthulhu 1920s skirmish based game, and looking to make a group of agents that are more British looking then American, your IRA have that look, but it would be expansive to buy 4 to 5 packages and
Only use the odd miniature or two from a package
James
Answer
Yes I can do that for you. I'll have to charge slightly more as the
Moulds have to be spun the same amount of times for them. They would be £1.70 per fig. Just email me details.
Regards Bill

Many thanks for posting that - it works for me, as I only want about 2 figures.
-
That IS great - and great service 8)
Musketeer has just gotten (another) mark in my book. The first was for their stunning minis.
I may not need such service, but I want to make business with a customer-oriented manufacturer like that!! :)
-
Most companies will do that. You just need to email them. They can reuse the spare metal after-all.
I do it frequently with Alternative Armies, Gavin always complains about people complaining that they don't do individual parts, when they do!!! :)
-
That is incredibly useful to know.
-
What, my thread seems to have been 'jacked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o

What do you expect :D
Have to say i like some of them and they are slightly more varied than say Artizans for the same era.
-
Well, I bought all the Artizan Musketeer and Pulp Miniatures for VBCW, so I guess I need some critters now. What's best to get?
I will buy a set of SA and some figs, but I am in Florida in the summer, so may get them sent to the hotel and save postage and taxes. :P Oh, yes, I got stung by RM on my last Pulp Miniatures order! :-[

Thanks for that, I want to keep the 1920/30s feel to the game as that is where the genre is set and it avoids too much high tech weaponry/equipment.

Few more bits posted here as well.

Can't wait to get the book!
What's the smallest area you can play in?

The book suggests 2 x 3 feet, but with enough scenery to restrict line of sight, you could easily play this in 2 x 2 feet

We play on a 3x3 board. I'll take a photo of it tonight fo people. Its a piece of Plywood with some dark green carpet glued to it, looks very nice.
We have the house on the manour and a few other bits that i guess take up a fair amount of space but looks very good.
