They will be fighting my Mercenaries of course

and will be getting support from my standard African Militia types.

Next on the list are some African Warlords and their followers :)

Nice works, as always, Paul. :)

Awesome! Just today, I was thinking about getting "The Mercenaries" on DVD (not entirely coincidental, as I'm painting a squad of MarkEvans' Near Future Mercs in a pseudo-jungle camo uniform scheme).
-
Love your stuff Paul. Always a pleasure to see your projects.
I'm hoping the Mongrel uniformed Simbas will be out soon so I too can blaze a trail across the Congo (for a price, of course…) lol
-
Lovely work Paul on the Simbas.

No, 28mm.

still amazing

Nice work Matakishi! Are you thinking of doing a Wild Geese type scenario? Cheers mate,
Ace

I will be doing several different scenarios set in a fictional Africa but based on real events or films.
I've already put on a 'get the civilians to the airport' game which was well received.

I plan to do an Entebbe style rescue, a Sierra Leone rescue and some other encounters that may well find themselves strung together to form a narrative not dissimilar to the Wild Geese film.
Currently I'm finishing off the Warlord troops (7), painting a few more mercenaries ( 8 ) and a Che figure which will complete my African set for now. I hope to get a few more vehicles and probably make some more scenery; I'm planning a presidential residence and a mine at the moment.
I also need more jungle.
My next similar outing will be Malaya.

Nice nice nice! Consider me inspired!

Oh, and this evening, I've just finished 10 SAS troopers in 'Embassy' gear so I can do an Iranian Embassy game. This isn't actually African but is in the same ballpark (might use them for Entebbe too).
-
Very very nice, scale? Rules? Many thanks
Steve

Everything is 28mm.
Everything is Crossfire.
Keeps life simple.
:)

Been watching for quite awhile as you have built your terrain and minis... and it just keeps getting better!!!
A genuinely super effort here!

I've finished the African Warlord troops with the addition of the general and his bodyguard.

And added another foreign adviser.

I've also painted some more mercenaries.

Here are the SAS I mentioned earlier, there'll be more about them when I've built the embassy.
