Good spotting, that man! :o

Excellent! I just got a box of those "popular WotR miniatures" yesterday, so that's very timely indeed. Thanks a bunch. :) As I'm doing a Yorkist force I'll have to wait for the next release, but it's good to know these are out there.

They should make life easier for a lot of people. I must admit I'm dubious of the fact that Andrew Trollope had a livery badge though. He was Master Porter of the Calais Garrison and his men were 'government' troops for want of a better term. If his men wore a livery, it is likely to have been that of someone else (Warwick's before his defection, Somerset's or the King's after that are the most likely, but I'm guessing here).

Yerrrssss... Having had a quick look at the site / provider concerned, I'm a little dubious myself if some of their previous historical decals are anything to go by...
For instance, you can equip your knightly army with the heraldic badges of 'Eire' or 'Cornwall' - http://www.citadelsix.co.uk/page17.html - not terribly authentic methinks ::)
Let's hope the WOTR offerings are a bit less flaky than this... ;)

The site now has pics of the sets, plus two sets of Yorkist decals.
A' York!

Thanks for the update Dave.

These look as if they will save a lot of work.

Quite true, I could have been earning too, but all work and no play as they say :) I will post some pics up at some point, but first I must get back to earning.

On the Citadel Six transfer sheet it is a white hart, don't know if this is correct but it will do for my fictional retinue of Robinson, Lord Rawnsley. The Robinson heraldic arms has a yellow hart, so a white one will do my livery coats, now can I stick them to the figures on the base I have done for Lord Berners?
-
I think Sir William Stanley's was a White Hart (or just its head) and I'm sure there were another one or two who used that, so it's not money wasted. It is entirely possible that Trollope did kit his merry band in a livery and it is one of the charges on his coat of arms after all. I merely 'suspect' (given I know of no evidence either way) that he would have been under the wing of Somerset or in the King's service and would have worn their livery and badge.
As for the 'Robinson Livery' it was quite common to use an emblem from a coat of arms as a badge, even in a different colour. Obviously the Robinson's had deep purses back then and didn't want to push the boat out and pay to have the cloth dyed. ;)

The Robinson's have deep purses even now, the sheet also has Somersets livery badge which I want and dont want to waste the other half of the sheet :) The Stanley livery was just the head BTW.

If not deep purses, them short arms! lol

I just like to call it "Careful with money......." ::)

Well there's 'careful with money' and there's having someone drop a coin and it hitting the back of his head on it's the way to the ground. :)

Oh, you mean tight?

Little Big Man Studios have caught up... Now these look the business...
From TMP:
'Just finished two new banner sheets for my 28mm Wars of the Roses range. Both depict swallow-tailed banners. The first is Lancastrian with flags for Clifford, Northumberland, Somerset and Devon. The second is Yorkist with flags for Edward iv as at Towton, Warwick, Fauconberg and Norfolk. As well as the flags, I have done some livery badge transfers, between 40 and 50 for most nobles. These are very small, about 0.25mm in width in most cases, so will be a bit like applying micro tank decals. They operate in the same way as my shield transfers, so you need to prime the area white where you will apply the transfer (even if you prime your figures black, just do a patch of white on the breast of the figure to apply the transfer). I have done a darker color around the design to match the dark shade of the base colour of the livery, this should make it easier to butt paint up to the edges of the design.'
