What rule set do you use that requires all the squared terrain?

Thanks guys,

@Muskie

I use .45 adventure and just covert all the ranges from inches to squares with no diagonal measuring. I moved to squares following one of our early adventures in an egyptian tomb, the board was made up of 1" tiles and it seemed easier to use the tiles for movement than measuring, it then became obvious that a squared board allows for easy mapping, planning of adventures and hidden events.

It's as simple as that really. I now carry around a pad of squared paper where ever I go so I can doodle ideas for board set ups/scenarios where ever I come up with them and translate it back into terrain when I get home.

It's been quite a bit of effort building the terrain as I had to start from scratch, I'm about a year into building different stuff now and have a couple of boxes worth of terrain to cover, jungles, mountains, Swamp Land, and am currently finishing off some stuff for an apartment building, library, police station, back streets etc and a mausoleum & graveyard.

All the terrains been build with flexability in mind so I can re-use alot of the basics and just dress them up with feature pieces (think of them more like old budget TV sets where the same set would be used for multiple scenes with different props)

Those boards would be perfect also for horrorclix or heroclix.
