Local  (central USA) Targets had them on clearance; I only got three, but then, I never finish anything.  lol

Still, I must say I was thinking about a sort of  'train', with at least one at each end, in case of main bore failure, or  'backing up' is required.

I've been trying to find one of these (not constantly, I have done other things) since the movie came out (was it about a year ago?) but I've still only seen them on the web!

Greywolf, that does look very fine. If anyone hears about these anywhere in the English Midlands (Rob, I'm looking in your direction) do let me know, cheers!

Argos had them not that long ago, as did Toy'r'us. I've not seen them cheap anywhere over here though.

And of course, Ramshackle sell one that doesn't require any work (other than painting).

Outside of removing the the wheels and painting the 'hatch' so you can't see the Sigma 6 scale interior, I won't be doing much to mine,either. ;->=

I don't even mind the shiny drill.

Long ago and far away, a friend produced some garage model Termites. The Moles are enough lighter to make them a bit more flexible in use, and, of course, they can be completely on the surface. Now, if I were REALLY ambitious, I'd take the tracks off of two, mount them on two of the other sides, at 120 degrees, of the remaining  Mole, so it'd have traction on three sides as it passes through the earth...   o ::)

Well, I was excited to share that I'd found them in the US for $10.50, close to £7.49, when I looked to the bottom of the Cap'n's blog site that started this thread, and saw he'd paid only $4.50.

Clearance bin diving is in my blood; I was sadly bested there!  :'(
