Hi All,
I have just finished a batch of samurai, plus some buildings ( okay, actually
I didn't built this terrain, it was made from Oshiro terrain), but all the other
painting is by me.

Really makes me want to pick up the Perry models I've had my eyes on for far too long, though I know I couldn't do anything like as good a job on them.

Holy crap that's insanely nice work! :o
Reminds me why I've shied away from Samurai.
(the fact that I can't get anyone else in the gang interested is another reason...)

That just means you have to be more creative...there are numerous japanese myths and legends about time travel and dimention hopping just as there tends to be in every culture, so really anyone can turn up anywhere.
It's perfectly acceptable to me for say 12th century Samurai to turn up to hold back the Catgirls from Saturn's invasion of 17th Century Monaco.

Well when the Catgirls from Saturn show up anything goes really.
Tricky thing that time travel.
But I was thinking something a bit more pedestrian involving clans from the Age of War...

Fantastic work, lovely!

Thank you all - a lot more on the way as I have every perry samurai blister at least one time :) But I have some commissions first to finish.

Well in that case you just need to hit them harder with a, preferrably hardback, rules set for the Sengoku period. Or get a handful of models together along with some skirmish rules and get them playing Seven Samurai, Zatoishi, other movie inspired or generally warring states period type wee games, and steadily add more models till they want to do army sized battles.
