Title: Askari Miniatures
Post by: VonAkers on August 11, 2010, 09:51:44 AM
Hi Guys
I was looking at the Askari Miniatures site and spotted their Circassion Cossacks.
I wanted to use them with my Copplestone and Brigade white Russians.
The range as discussed by another thread was done by two sculpters and was a bit patchy.
The figures are not photographed very well and in this day and age makes me think they dont want closeups.
Has any one seen them?? and will they fit into the other figures size wise.
Any thoughts??
 Cheers

They're rather good at sending out samples of a range if you ask.

I just bought some Circassians from Outpost Wargames, really cool figures compatible with the ones we like from Copplestone, Artizan and Brigade Games:

I have them and they are a bit thinner (they gave me the impression of flats) and smaller than the usual bulked-up Copplesstone and Brigade figures.

But they are fine together on the table as far as I'm concerned. Really, when you are standing a metre or more away and above, it's only the eye of the owner that picks the difference. Or someone else that has both, I imagine.
