Nice. Ooh, and there's always room for a Brunel model. Will he be anything like the rather marvellous incarnation he has in in Sydney Padua's delightful web-comic (http://www.2dgoggles.com/)?
-
Very nice faces and the subtle highlights work a treat. Must order these soon.
-
oohh I like them.
how do you achieve such a matt effect?

Very nice painting, I think the style seem a little special but fits marvellous with how these figures are modelled.
I will look forward to see more painted figures.

Lovely figures once again. I really like how you painted the metal 8)

Vaaaary nice.
How did you paint the metal, by the way, if you don't mind me asking?

I painted the model bronze over a black undercoat. I then gave it several thin coats of green, black, purple, red, green, and black inks.
Once it was dry, I dry brushed the model with the original bronze paint with a little brass mixed in.

More delightfully understated painting with that matter than matt finish.
As much as I like IKB with the additions I cant help but think I would have liked him as a historical figure as well.

Ta muchly - I wouldn't have thought of the purple and red, but will give it a go in future.

To give it a nice warm tone just wash watered down red ink over the bronze and dont bother with the other colours.

Got to get me a Colonel "Tiger" Moran ;D
