Well, I have put together a small fleet of ships, so I thought I would show them off.
Note, anyone bringing up historical accuracy will be stabbed in the face with a poniard. These are converted Megabloks ships, with extra shots of the newest ones. The three newest ships are all put together from various ebay buys of incomplete ships, that after 5 really inexpensive buys, I had enough to put together 3 complete ships.
The fleet as a whole.

This is based off the Predator. It ended up with a back section of a Black Pearl, and then later I got what would have been the right piece in another buy.

This one began life as a Black Pearl with no sides to it, and no prow. A later purchase gave me a prow, and just went straight across with the deck. It sits lower than the others, but that doesn't bother me.

It was given a new figurehead, so I call the ship the Blue Devil.

And this one was also a Pearl. I call it the Green Dragon, and it also gained a prepaint figure as a figurehead. I had to scramble to find some masts for it, but I found them in an ebay shop - though I had to finagle to get them on.

I am not yet finished with the sails - I am making new ones for a few of these ships - but they are coming along nicely. It will make for a fun fleet. I am planning on running a Pirate game in November using some homegrown rules, so we'll see how that goes. The next step is to paint some more pirate figures, and build an island. I think I'll use the Build Something contest to force me to make some buildings.

Impressive collection. I have the pearl but I haven't done any work on her yet.

That is a very, very nice collection.

:-* Awesome!
-
what a great fleet you did a very good job on them
-
Outstanding! I especially like the fact that you were able to piece them together from disparate parts.

Yo-ho, yo-ho, a pirate's life for me! :o :)
That's positively great, just great. I guess they are just the right size to work both as "playing areas" themselves and as "game pieces" on a suitably big table.

Beautiful!

No Chinese Junk??

Sinewgrab put together an Empress Junk from Mega Bloks for me, but I need to modify a deck grating and repaint the deck. It will be a long time before you see a photo of that one, as I don't think Sinewgrab took a photo of that one before I started changing things.

Really nice man. I picked up a Black Pearl for $30 off eBay bout 5 months ago, and I've wanted to mod it, but haven't had the time. I really don't want to have to go thro and hack off all the lego-like nubs sticking out, but I can't think of a better way to get rid of them around those inner ledges.

A good pair of wire cutters does wonders, actually.
Thank you for all the compliments - on top of these, I also have a "steamtech" vessel and a scale replica of an Uncharted Seas Orc Battleship, as well as 6 or 7 of the old Flagship Games Galleys. Now, I need to concentrate on pirates.

Nice!
What do you do with them then!?
-
So, that's a small fleet :D
Very impressive 8)

Nice fleet! Great conversion work! I particularly like the Blue Devil. By chance are you a Duke fan?
-
Wow, what a great fleet! Looking forward to pics of your ships in battle.

At the moment, they sit in the garage, looking pretty, and occasionally make forays onto the table as terrain when I play Warmachine. In November I am going to try out a set of homegrown rules at a local library, with (hopefully) 6-10 people, each with a ship and a crew of 20 to 30 pirates. With any luck, a good time will be had by all.
And no, I am not a Duke fan. #@$% Duke. They, along with Gonzaga, Syracuse, and Georgetown, just need to go away for a few years.
And now, back to Pirates. ;)
