Afternoon,
I'me currently working through a few squads of Artizan British Paras, Fallshirmjagers, Recce Jeeps, etc. And would really really like to get hold some scratchbuild ideas for sorting out Horsa and Hamilcar gliders?
Found Airfix 1/72 no problem but the only 1/48 I can find is £76 and Mrs Goat would, not unreasonably remove the tackle with two bricks...
Any ideas, links, advice please?
Thanks, Goat

Had the same dilemma myself once and did a 1/56 scratchbuild of a crash-landed (minus tail and wings as they take up so much space) Horsa Mk1.

Am still interested in the glider pilot regiment but never got round to* painting up the platoon of airlanding troops that I put together and so she just sits on the shelf looking pretty.
*having succumbed to the delights of the 18thC!

There's a company out of Russia that has scale drawings. I have a set here for a 1/56 scale Horsa we're planning on doing. The Name escapes me ATM but I'll dig up the drawings and try to post a link for them.
Cheers

Horsa is a pretty simple scratchbuild, but why not just hack a few 1/72? You typically only really use them for the run-in and the landing.
Or try this paper-kit https://www.fiddlersgreen.net/models/aircraft/Airspeed-Horsa.html

Old Goat,
Fiddrelrs Green has what you need:
https://www.fiddlersgreen.net/shop/category/name/Gliders.html
As they are card models you can resize than up to whatever scale you need.
Hope this helps...
