Title: French 1940 uniform colours
Post by: Poiter50 on September 30, 2010, 05:08:18 AM
Can anyone point me to a web based uniform painting guide for the french in 1940? Now that BF have moved to EW, I find I need to paint a lot of new pieces/units. :D

I am somewhat suspicious of BFs colour guides as they tend to recommend Citadel paints which aren't quite correct IMHO. The Vallejo ones tend to be closer but I still like the Humbol acrylics.

If you refer to this painting guide:

http://www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=2145

all the colours are Vallejo Model color reference numbers. BF has never referred to citadel paints because their paint sets are made by Vallejo too.
