Here's my first attempt at photography, so let's see how it works out:

This is a Pathan hill fort I made prior to Historicon, which appeared in two games, and now belongs to a wargamer in Washington state, having bought it from me (this being the point!)  :lol:  H

Oooooooo - that's nice.

I particularly like the patterned crenellations and exposed brickwork.

The elaborate battlements are actually a product for building doll houses - some sort of Victorian gingerbread decorations in 1 12 scale. And the exposed old brick is done my pressing the back of a piece of embossed plastic brick card into a plaster/papier mache mix smeared onto the foamcore walls - it's cheaper than simply using the brick card in the normal way and (more importantly) gives a very worn appearance.

Very nice piece,  :) It reminds me of the late great Ian Weekley's style of model making.

Reminds me of the one Flashman Papers adventure where Flashy is in a snake pit in a Afghan hill fort.

The Ian Weekley reference is spot on - his work in the 1980s-90s inspired me to make big pieces of terrain in the first place.

I've just this afternoon had a commission to make another hill fort! H  :)

great piece of work, Howard! would fit together well with Monolith's adobe buildings

I haven't seen the Monolith buildings except in photos, but I imagine they'd work together. I build almost all my own structures, and generally work to a 'large 25 - 30mm' scale, with plenty of room inside for figures. Most of the simpler buildings have a plain, one room interior, although when I get fancy there are multiple rooms, inside staircases etc.
