Those really are some nice figures!
I particualrly like the bloke with the gas mask and truncheon.
Do you know if he will have the shield they used to carry for IS?

I've seen them in the flesh, they aren't pretty. The y wre done as private commission and so the gear worn is rather unique and somewhat eccentric, like gaiters. They're rather less than useful unless you plan on doing Aid to the Civil Power games. No support weapons and basically IS gear. The old Hotspur/ Coombat Command/ whoever owns them now are much nicer figures in every way. I'm very fond of Eureka's offerings and have a reasonable supply of vehicles suitable for this scale and period but couldn't muster the enthusiasm for these.

Reuben if you superglue on a bit of clear plastic that will give you the shield.
Carlos the figs are specifically for IS games. Those gaiters are puttees which were all the rage before High boots.
Have you seen the Hotspur figs now? They haven't lasted well I am afraid and although I have loads both originals and new I prefer the Eureka figures.

Can't say that I've seen the Hotspur figures since I bought mine, maybe 15 years ago. Thought they were the bees knees then and looking past my painting, they still look pretty good today. No doubt the moulds have seen some wear and tear.
Not arguing about their intended IS use. I undertsand that's exactly what the chap who commissioned them wanted. If those are meant to be rolled puttees, rather than web anklets then Mike Broadbent has made a piss poor job of them. These aren't a patch of the Vietnam Australians he did for Eureka. Horses for courses though. If you like 'em it's no skin off my nose, we all have our own tastes.
