Title: DAK (20mm)
Post by: Vasa on November 01, 2010, 12:26:16 PM
As Frank Becker nice said: Disposable Heroes goes North Africa ... ;)

We want to test some new battlefields and this was a nice option. Here are some pictures we made last weekend. There are some english too but not ready yet to make photos. As it grows up I will update.

Some really nice painting! Are they plastics too? I'm just about to start painting mine, so any hints as to how to get good effects on plastics would be greatly appreciated.

They are all plastics (Airfix, Revell, Italeri). Conerning the painting, I just followed the instructions from Frank. The preparation of the figures is very important, clean them, wash them, basecoat (white) and than basic colours. After that devlan mud and finish it with some highlights. And I used also matt lack on the end to give them some small protection and remove the gloss effect of the devlan mud that pops up sometimes.

Those are really nice. I like how you mixed the uniforms for a more realistic appearance.

Very, very nice - the Italeri scooters in particular.
