This is an example, just to show you how will look like a competition fight :)

I am not keen on putting completion stress on my hobby projects (I have enuff of that at work), but if I can use previously completed but yet not revealed miniatures, this could be fun.

Of course, the whole competition thing should be just fun :-) And well, feel free to use your completed minis.

I like the idea, except that it will be like the Premier League used to be: Manchester United winning every bloody season, with the Prof. playing as them.

But yes, sounds like fun, providing I can just spectate and start fights on the terraces, and don't have to actually enter.

I say we handicap the regular picture posters e.g. they must use only 3 colours with tints and shades permitted

they must be limited to 30 minutres per figure :o

They may only use one hand whether painting holding, tunring the figure at all times :D

not necessary! you just need to win some rounds with high difference and put more teams then other guys and you would have more points though you maybe would lose a round or two :)

I think I'll pass as well. I'm a mediocre AND a slow painter, so the reasoning that "bad painters make up for it by cranking out more miniatures" doesn't really apply here. Some people are just more apt to miniature painting than others, I'm afraid  :|

To avoid this, there could be a "handicap" for the previous season top three, e.g. -60/-40/-20 points.

Maybe Polynikes, Rhoderic, and I will form a minor league. Every year one of the serious painters here will check in to see if we're showing signs of talent, then leave, assured that we are still wallowing in our mediocrity.

Otherwise perhaps the three of us can be the sportscasters of this fine event.

Oh, dear... This reminds me of Swedish kindergartens back in the early seventies where everyone was declared a winner in various competitions.

Sounds really cool, but I'm afraid that I would join the fight on the terraces...

Watching this competition with great interest.

Well, nuclear reactors have safeties on them too, but not because of some misplaced need for social equity for gamma radiation.

Hooray! That's the closest I actually come to contributing to the hobby--making remarks from the sidelines.

Yes, and for EXACTLY the same reasons, right?

I think I got myself confused. Are we arguing to encase kindergarteners in lead, or for the handicapping between seasons? Because I am in favor of both. Social equity for gamma radiation not so much.

Er, perhaps we should put this train back on the rails...

Oh dear with my ability to complete a miniature every 3 months I am not sure I am going to be much use to this competition.    Besides you have already seen alot of my figures in the past. Can I sell hotdogs or burgers from outside the stadium?

No, dear Prince of Darkness, you have to pull yourself together now, then we want to see a team. You'll manage it. I have lots of faith in you

H'what EVER happened to "the recognition of your peers"? Is it really devalued below the contents of the commode of a cheap painted jezebel?!

Sigh - pity I'm late for this. I'd have liked to win a Maltese Falcon, can't get any around here.

Anyway, I'm sloooow and only any good at weird conversions of vehicles, so....
