Can anyone help. Many years ago I seem to remember a fantastic article in Wargames Illustrated about building a Wild West town called Hilton. Does anyone know where I can get a copy and which issue it was in.

Of course, Richard: Hilton, Colorado, was built by David Marshall and was featured in WI 135, Dec 1998, p.44-48. It's my favourite old west wargames town as well. The TM Terrain website (by David Marshal ...) shows some nice photos of the town:

Old issues of WI up to #225 are still available on CD. Here's some info from the TMP-site:
