Hello, my fellow Lead Adventurers!  :)

I just finished 2 more landspeeders for the big race coming up, and posted them over at my blog.  There are lots more pictures, as well as a bit about how I made the conversions and painted them.  Feel free to check it out, and join the blog and discussion:

Beautiful Chris! That gives me even more ideas with what to do with my spare Flash Speeders.

I'd be very interested in the rules you use for the race if you are able to share?

I saw all your landspeeders on your blog and they are all amazing. I really like the way you converted the Flash speeder this time. Which rules should you use for your race ?

Thanks!

Regarding the rules, I've made some custom rules for the race, I'll be happy to post them once they are ready.  It'll be a few months though, I'm working on other writing stuff now, and the race rules probably won't be finished until the night before the race, knowing me.   ::)

Thanks Matt.  They are conversions of toys, if you read the blog entries I describe how they were all made.   :)

I have to say that the rodian repaint is bloody lovely!  :-*

Are you looking to do seated crew for all the speeders?

Thanks, I'm glad I decided to repaint it.   :)

I'm doing a few crewmembers, but I'll probably just use some of the Galoob Micromachine 'Action Fleet" pilots for any that I don't do.  They are about the right scale, and bend at the hips and shoulders, so they work well for pilots.

These are simply amazing - as are the other goodies on your blog.  I'm going to be checking it out regularly from now on.  Consider my mind blown.

Your blog is a gold mine for conversions and ideas....it's a shame I couldn't find a decent Lars Family landspeeder at a low price (or correct shipping cost).

BTW I thought you could use Crushing ruleset to play races with a minor modification.

Haven't quite gotten there yet!

The track will be a figure 8, so there will be a chance of collision in the middle.   >:D  I think half of the race will be in the city streets, I have a some buildings already completed for this.  The other half will be through the desert & badlands (beggar's canyon).  A lot depends on how much room I have, my game room is a bit small. :?

Just keep an eye out, they get listed on ebay all the time, often for under $10.

Yep bargains are out there. After being inspired by Chris's pages I picked up 3 boxed sets (Ronto/Luke's Speeder Lars Speeder,Bantha/Dewback/Escape Pod) on ebay for $22.

Postage often kills on those orders though Karl, how much was shipping?

Tolerable. I think under $15.

For each set or was it from the same seller?

Here are a couple more custom landspeeders that I finished recently.  I had these sitting around half-finished for a loooong time, and so I finally added the last bit of paint and weathering over the weekend.

Lovely work as ever.

Another fantastic addition. The shortened Gain speeder is really, really good. I was just working on one recently. The modifications are so well hidden that I wasn't sure it was the same vehicle.
But that second one is just inspired. I love it. You've made some freaking amazing speeders!!!

(It's funny, I was just painting some of your Dark Elves a couple of weeks ago, and whilst doing so it reminded me of this great thread and how I hadn't seen you update it for a while. :) )

Anyway, lovely work as always.   :D
