Title: First wave of Cobalt-1 re-releases
Post by: black hat miniatures on January 18, 2011, 09:13:24 PM
Hi

Just a heads up as some people asked when they'd be available again...

I have just added the first 43 packs of the 28mm Cobalt-1 SF range to the Black Hat shop and they are now available for sale.

Not everything is pictured yet, we need to work through the figures assembling them and get the photos taken but we hope to get most of that done over the next week.

The next release will include more characters and the Jetbike model.

thanks

Mike

Are these (Ygrinne -  if spelled right) the figures with the clear plastic bubble helmets?

Gracias,

Glenn

Who may be very mistaken?

The Ygrainne and Cobalt Mercenaries did come with clear helemets, but I have not been able to source these yet...

When you do I will be asking you about buying "just the helmets."

I will be selling them separately, but not looking good so far - I am considering buying a machine designed for making vacuform domes, but think it may be too much trouble to make the number I need (its a hobby machine really).

Otherwise I have some feelers out - Plastruct do some nice clear acrylic domes, but I cannot find a trade source for them, and at 37p plus VAT they are too expensive to buy in.

Are you able to find out who Blue Monn are using as I am sure they have some in domed helmets in their range?

talk to Nic at Eureka on where he got his. He seems to have a lifetimes supply.

Spoke to Nic about them - he used to have them made by a friend two at a time over a beer, and cannot supply me with the number I need...

Also tried Blue Moon who didn't reply to my enquiry...

If the Plastrut ones fit-could you link the exact type from the site. They may be too expensive to buy in, but modellers might be prepared to buy them themselves if they know what they are getting will do the job. In some instances (for me at least) would be a deal breaker, although i am not planning on doing retro immediatrely (maybe next year), i might still ick up a couple of packs to dabble with straight away.
