Title: Lettow-Vorbeck
Post by: Frank on January 24, 2011, 09:39:12 AM
At the weekend I painted the new TACTICA miniature...Lettow-Vorbeck. A big compliment to Frank Germershaus who modelled it:

A superb figure and a premium paintjob - very, very good.
The figure is an absolute must have for me this year at TACTICA.

Lovely...  :-*

Hope one can get one without visiting Tactica, which I would love to do, but just can't make it.

Nifty figure and great paintjob.  That's an unusually small holster though, isn't it?  He won't be satisfying any inferiority complexes with that.  ;)

One could not do paint him better than that! Deepest respect, Sir. Was once garrisoned in Lettow-Vorbeck barracks, Hamburg, Germany. Thanks for that one!!!

Beautiful brushwork on a lovely design miniature. Really captures the character of the man himself in photos and reading his diary.

Lovely work,

Helen

Very good sculpt; quite excellent painting.   :)

I imagine there will be great demand for this figure and it's Ebay value will be high.  I would certainly be in the market to obtain one too.

Thank you all! Unfortunately the TACTICA Miniature is only available during the show. Perhaps you can find someone here in the forum, which can buy and send it to you!?  ;)

Wow!  Very nicely done.  I don't think that I can get a trip into the budget with the Minister of Finance (my wife) to get that one.  Very nice figure and paint job :)

I went to that Tactica. Damn, has it been nine years? Where did they go?

There is a very small chance I have a spare one, I don't recall if I picked up some extra ones or not. I'll have a look when I get a minute.

Marco,

Why are you looking for this guy? Are you working on a project, and if so, what minis are you using?

I Just got reinterested in WWI,mostly Gallipoli but I am also interested in the african campaigns and thinking of getting some figures converted into Portuguese like I saw in WI.I'm not a gamer but like to collect figures for vignettes/dioramas and I saw this figure on a blog I thought there might be a small chance someone has one. I've been collecting figures from Woodbine and some from Brigade Games for East Africa.

Sounds like a worthy venture. Tellus got me mine.

You can have these if you want:

Include:

- Lettow-Vorbeck (sword needs to be attached to his side), 6 Brigade Games Germans and 19 Brigade Games Askaries.

Don't see me painting them anytime, so... they are yours if you want. It's a package deal though..  ;)

PM me with your address, however, it might take me awhile to get them to you.
