Title: Indiana Jones Adventures for Origins: Converting to Savage Showdown
Post by: lordsith on February 02, 2011, 01:02:06 PM
Once again I am taking my popular Indiana Jones adventures, Temple of the Warriors and Fight of the Flying Wing to Origins. Since they are now giving me a dedicated area of the miniature hall I have a space I can set up all my games (including Crimson Eagles, WizWar 3D, and Starfleet Battle Manual) without needing to transport them back and forth from my hotel room. Easier for me and lets everyone see my games. So this year I will be running both of these adventures for multiple times - which should be helpful since these games always sell out early and I get a lot of gamers wanting to play.

Also I am in the process of converting these .45 Adventures to the Savage Showdown rules. For the past few years my .45 Adventure events have been the only ones at Origins, but there are lots of Savage Worlds events and Pinnacle has a presences at the convention. With an attendance of 12,000+ at Origins it isn't GenCon, but with only a third of attendance overlap between the two cons that is 9,000+ gamers Rattrap Productions is missing out on; which is too bad.  It's nice to be able to send players and spectators over to a company's both when they show an interest in a game.

I have played .45 Adventures longer, but I do use the Savage Worlds system for role playing with my group so I am comfortable with it. I don't see that there will be any difficulties in change to Savage Showdown, but if anyone has any experience or advice please let me know. Hope to see some of you at Origins.
