Title: Strange Aeons blog project (updated 28/5/2011, Hybrid and more stuff)
Post by: einarolafson on February 27, 2011, 09:00:57 PM
I have opened a blog for my Strange Aeons project. I will post painted miniatures, scenery, reviews about things I see interesting and more Call of Cthulhu game related stuff.

http://losingsanity-einarolafson.blogspot.com/ (http://losingsanity-einarolafson.blogspot.com/)

The first post is the King in Yellow miniature by Uncle Mike's Worldwide.

Looks great, but I would paint the "face" area black and paint a pair of faint glowing eyes for a more sinister look. The rest looks really good!

Thanks, but I paint the miniature así intencionadamente, I interpret that the eyes are covered by the hood, otherwise the face would be too small. I wanted to use the white mask instead of an empty black mask because if it has visible hands and arms, there also must be a head under the cloth. I like the idea of glowing eyes but I think the face would look too small that way.

Excellent as ever. Leave the face, suits the mini, the only other thing I'd do would be or a cosmic nebula, starfield (hinting at he who shall not be named true form).

Lovely deepone too, robe detailing superb.

Excellent as always.  I've always like the simplicity of the guy on the left.  He was a surprisingly fun model to paint despite the static pose.  Keep 'em coming!

Thank you!!

I have painted some more miniatures between commissions. Black Cat Bases Hybrid and Mouth on Legs, an Artizan Thrilling Tales Character (I´ll probably use him as Joseph Curwen the very bad warlock) and a Copplestone Botocudo Indian (I´m planning to play Strange Aeons with native agents fighting againts lurkers threatening their tribal villages). The quality in some pictures is bad, sorry about that but the camera is broken. I haven´t posted the images in the blog yet.

I hope that you like them.

I think they mix well with Rattrap hybrids, so you have more variety. I´ll post pictures soon with mixed stuff from different companies so you will see if they work together.
