Oooh... this is a tough choice...
-
I know! I've been starring at these pictures for half an hour! Good job, guys!
-
I dig the leper lol.
-
I just love the way the carpet merchant is looking to the guy with the pants lol
-
My very first vote in this round and I click this one... :o
It's just impossible to choose! ;D

I know! Two very different styles of painting, yet each one extremely well painted! Maybe a beer will help me make up my mind...
-
Where is my flipcoin...
Very lovely entries both :o
-

Their faces are very good indeed, showing a lot of what can be going on in their heads at the moment and adding a lot to the story the picture is telling :)
-
Both are nice!! This is REALLY difficult...........
-
Difficult, but I'm gonna go for Abdul
-
Some very high level painting in both entries! Abdul's getting the vote because of the funny story eminating from the picture. Judging only on paintig this deserved a vote each!
-
My god, what a choice.
I think the lepers *just* squeeze in my vote though, mainly on the account of being lepers :P
-
I really like both of these entries. Awesome work gents! :-*
-
Indeed a very hard match-up between two LPL heavyweights. In the end I voted the same as the majority because I really like the whole setup with the village in the background.
-
Great choice of figures in both entries. They each really sell their theme.
-
Please can I give a vote to each, these are both fantastic
-
Very very tough... but I've always had a soft spot for lepers. ;D
If I may ask, where are the miniatures from? I seem to recognize them but can't recall from where...

I think the bruegelburg miniatures are from LAM, does somebody knows by who the arabian merchants are manufactured?
-
Erm, there ain`t a knock out in the Lead Painter`s, you get an overal score table after 10 rounds, top points take the prizes
EDIT: Also, am I going insane or was there a post by Bezzo before mine about champions league knock outs and such?
-

The Islamic civilians are produced by Eureka, they have three different sets. The figures practically paint themselves. They're very good sculpts- I've had them sitting around for years and I'm sure I never would have painted them but for the LPL.
This was an unhappy matchup, I really like the lepers !

Naaaaaah, no jiffy, I was just wondering if I had posted in a wrong topic, looking all delusional and off worldish due to the eye candy influx of today o_o lol o_o
-
amazing can I vote for both (twice, or three times each - this is a bummer draw!)
, who makes those figs prof?
-
Voting was going well adn then I come against these two brilliant pieces and now suffering mental overload as they are both so good adn can't decide which to vote - anybody for AV
:?
-
easily the hardest choice so far!
Hardly the easiest either. ;)
-
Abdul's Alterations is my favorite this round. Fantastic! Both wonderful but the pink frilly wins in the end for me.
-
who makes those figs prof?
They’re from our coming range Bruegelburg and will be released soon.
-
I always have to vote for a hurdy gurdy
-
Both excellent entries, but I just had to go for the first one. If only because it made me laugh lol
-
Both are very very well painted, but my vote goes to the Prof.
I do really love his style :)
-
a rather new member here, so his is the first LPL I'll be casting votes.
did a few already, and then came across these :?
I really like the Prof's style, but in the end I went with the Dr.
I guess the lines on those burkas and the eyes did it for me.
and naturaly, the setting is just phenomenal :D
-
Really nice paintjob for both!
Hard choice indeed... but facial expressions on the arabians are incredible!
Looking forward to see the next round entries :)
-
Naaaaaah, no jiffy, I was just wondering if I had posted in a wrong topic, ...
Just thought the same, there was a post but then he was gone! lol I also thought you posted in the wrong topic.
@Dr Mathias: they look really splendid!
-
"censored" (Prof)
Oh yes, while I remember, a quick word on etiquette for both participants and observers.
We all want LPL entries and matches to stimulate comment and discussion, so it’s perfectly fine to comment on live matches. That's half the fun. But please try to keep comments constructive and don’t blatantly ‘boost’ (or attempt to torpedo) one or other entry.
So by all means comment ‘I really like what you’ve done there’. But please don’t go down the road of: ‘Well entry A is so manifestly superior to entry B, that I cannot understand why so many people are voting for entry B’.
That kind of thing will be edited by the Moderators.
Mathias painting is so smooth... :o
meow,
Matt
-
Matt, thank you very much for the kind words but I had to edit your post, it was too much "boosting" of my entry :)

:'(
Dear Alex, the edit doesn't matter at all, but once again, it seems that I'm betray by my poor English.
I'm so sad you don't taste my try at "irony" : I just wanted to say that despite all your avantages, the smoothness of Mathias painting beats them all, and he got my vote...
What a poor come back
-
All is well, Matt, sorry if I didn't get your irony, my english isn't very well too :)
-
Oh the humanity! This is a toughie. Both fantastic.
-
Wow, terrific and difficult desicion, my first vote and im very undecided!!!! o_o
-
They’re from our coming range Bruegelburg and will be released soon.
I'm so Jealous that you had a chance to put a brush to some of these wonderful figures... o_o Now I want them even more!
This was by far the toughest match-up...both spectacular jobs...kudos to both.
Cheers,
Blue
-
Both so beautiful ... but the character and humor in the first one is amazing!
-
Toughest one to call yet - there's nothing more to say, really. Both brilliant.
