Black musicians in the fifties used to straighten and grease their hair and in America you'll always find a white man in the woodpile so I think they look spot on ;)
Excellent dress sense for a grand opening, I've nicked them for when i just can't put together an outfit 8)

that's what I think too
apparantly I did not manage to express the opposite of what You understood
what I was relating to was that some collectors always complain that one can not paint figures with "european faces" as africans - in my eyes, Grimm's entry proves the opposite

Yowza Grimm, love the bases it reminds me of ca. 1915 joints in upstate New York that I used to frequent!
-
Dissapointed in the lack of nudity here, Grimm!

WOW!! That must make you....lets see, you'd have to have been around 20 years old to get into a bar, plus 96 years....Oh my! you must be the oldest LAFer by a country mile!!!

I really appreciate the hand painted bases on both entries; a detail that speaks to the strength of the matchup.

FINALLY! somebody else liked the Jazz band better.
-
I'm not a fan of the white suit of those jazzmen 'far more classy in rouge ::) but I really like the colours and the scene of this Grand Opening (Best name entry !) Mac, you get it.
