I have just started reading this book from Pat Kelleher. It is about the 13th Battalion of The Pennine Fusiliers (Brits) during WWI. They vanish from the battlefield and are transported to an alien world where they have to survive. So far a really good read, also includes some black magic.

Anyone else read it?

Steve Blease posted some thoughts on it here:

I think there is a second book in the series due out shortly.

I have read it and enjoyed the whole concept, nice to see Brits getting into the whole alternate reality thing and love the idea of it being safer to stay in their holes rather then living outside - would love a second book, can't see it on Amazon but fingers crossed

Sounds tempting and totally reasonable on Amazon...$4.50

That is a good price on Amazon; recently I have rediscovered the public library and borrow all my books including graphic novels from there. Leaves me more money for miniatures.
