lol lol lol thats great, i would say one thing though we don't call it Soda,
that's what they call it in the colonies,
it's called pop over here as in 'can of pop'  ;)

Brilliant! What scale?

Have you ever read Roddy Doyle's 'The Van'?

I wish the chip vans here in Blighty here did sell booze. For the reason that they do I prefer French ones. There's something just so civilised about being served red wine in a plastic cup from a chip van in a lay-by.  :)

Lovely work, Michi.

Actually in this Colony we call it "Soft Drink". Fantastic work, what scale is it?

Great painting, the weathering is really good. The name is a bit dodgy though ;)

We refer to it as 'pop' here in Chicago as well, though the other "colonists" think this odd.  ;)  Fantastic paintwork, at the very least you should do a tutorial on painting rust Michi.  Pretty please?  :)

Lovely painting and attention to detail Michi.

I do wonder if they really have haddock in Afghanistan though  ;)

Yes, I owned a few VW vans...and I hated the rust, but it was interesting to watch and copy it.

The scale is 20mm (1/76 actually...), hence you wonīt be able to read "soda" without magnifiers...

Rust:
Paint zig-zag edges of basic paint in a lighter shade to mimick fading paint.
Paint the rusty portions black, then dark brown (the black is to leave an outline at the edges).
Paint light brown spots into the dark brown portions.
Wash the rust with the same dark brown colour.
This is for old solid rust. Fresh one will be lighter (like on freshly burnt cars -- use orange-ish brown instead!).
