Hello, everyone -
I am planning a demo game for "The Last Decade" and I find myself in need of vehicle weapons/stowage/etc. for the conversion of various civilian vehicles as "Technicals" and similarly armed/home-armored vehicles. However, I have not had much luck finding anything. Pig Iron was recommended several times at another site - but they have very little, and all of it is Sci-Fi, which doesn't really do me any good.
What I need specifically are twentieth century type weapons. Cold War weapons would be ideal, but earlier surplus would be fine. Vehicle weapons (mounted on bipods, tripods, whatever) are what I need - assault rifles, pistols, don't do me much good for this kind of thing. Stowage is a slightly easier matter, as you can use just about anything for storage when times are tough, but again, aside from a few rucksacks and canteens, no luck there.
Can someone please recommend a possible source? (And scratchbuilding these weapons is not an option.)
I don't mean to sound picky, but I've asked in several places and I keep getting references to things like makers of bolt action rifles in 28mm, or GW bits, etc. That's not what I'm looking for, so I just want to be as specific as possible with my request in the hopes that this would net something.

Maybe someone who makes Humvees might be an option ?
They might make spare vehicle mounts etc.
There have been some threads about Humvees before so you could try searching through the forum and see if anyone gives you any helpful links.
The other thought would be Vietnam, helicopter door gunners etc might be an option.
Matakishi might be able to point you to something, he's got a load of Entebbe/Mogadishu stuff, he must know where to find things.

Stowage - try Fenris, they do some excellent resin items.
Weapon mounts - try Imprint Models - 1:50, but will fit in with 1/55 vehicles.
-
Why not try S&S? Although mainly 20mm moderns, they also do 28mm modern vehicles and may well have 12.7 DSHks, .50 M2s, GPMGs etc on vehicle mounts for sale individually. Drop Shaun a line- he's a really helpful guy http://www.sandsmodels.com/

I'll second S&S - I don't know that their 28mm stowage/weapons range has quite the variety as their 20mm stuff is, but it's definitely worth a look

I don't know if this is helpful, but what about MaxMini (http://www.maxmini.eu/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=12) stuff?

and the last idea:
1/48 stuff from Quarter Kit (http://www.phpshopxml.com/quakit.shop/CID/d196d9d132b1e9ca57ed2b0fcca8c7f2/function/itemPageDisplay/shopItemCode/HLX48032)

Again going with 1/48th which works reasonably well with 32mm figures, a quick google found these:

just over halfway down page.

Reaper Chronoscope has a pack called 20th Century Weapons (50030).

Doc,
try The Assault Group. Good mix of weapons and stowage. US Vietnam range inculdes 50 cals on tripods and M60s on bipods. Link below.

Fenris games on Ebay also do stowage at reasonable prices. I have some of the Black Dog stuff, which is lovely, but it is very pricey by comparison to Fenris.

+1 for Fenris Stowage (especially the little water jerrycan)

What about these from Pulp Figures? A bit early 20th century, but any gun in a storm as they say. These are nice pieces and paint up well.

You might also look at cheep plastic models. Deck guns from ships or subs. Vehicle guns from jeeps, hummers, APCs or tanks. Anti aircraft guns. Look for left overs from kit bashed or broken models. I find models at 2nd hand stores, broken or missing parts are fine you just want the pieces anyway.
