Love the Martians and it's setting! Shame you did not include a close-up

My thought exactly! :)

Yup, great work on those aliens. Heldrak, your entry is nice as ever, good job!

Love the Foyle's War entry - but that miniature is not a patch on the delightful Honeysucle Weeks (http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/11/14/article-1227830-00C9098300000578-400_224x400.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1227830/10bn-Mayor-Bloomberg-crush-English-honey.html&usg=__EMbgjsRcu6c5GM9qVUdoFiejH6o=&h=400&w=224&sz=26&hl=en&start=22&zoom=1&tbnid=zzf89Sg42TjDwM:&tbnh=152&tbnw=84&ei=p7S9Te67B8bb4wb25fTyBQ&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhoneysuckle%2Bweeks%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D608%26tbm%3Disch%26prmd%3Divnso0%2C646&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=1079&vpy=120&dur=318&hovh=187&hovw=104&tx=151&ty=88&page=2&ndsp=22&ved=1t:429,r:14,s:22&biw=1280&bih=608) ;D

Agreed! :-*

Ditto. Not your common beauty but rather a rare one.
-
Really? I've always thought her rather plain.
Ah well... Eye of the beholder I suppose... ;)

You've been painting to much WotR lately. If she stuck a wimple on her you'd be hers forever.
-
Her little sister Perdita* is like a slightly less
mannish plain version of the same...
And as she was in The Tudors, Mr. Wars-of-the-Roses here would probably prefer her too. :)
*Perdita? Please. Who calls their kid Perdita? What is this, the fucking Archers?
-
Lets remember that the good Captain is an actor, thus he moves in a world of rarified feminine beauty that most of us can only imagine... ;)
-
That is true :D
I certainly prefer the look of Perdita to Honeysuckle.
There again I always preferred Perdita to Pongo.
Perhaps that's where they got the names from.
Lucky Honeysuckle wasn't a boy, eh? ;)
Anyway... Back to the competition...
-
Whatever your taste in dogs the main figure is every bit as melancholic as Micheal Kitchen, brilliant work Heldrak :-*
That's a great photo Northstar, lower angle and closer in would have been better maybe ???
-
Foyle's for me....love the look of the martians, just would have liked a closer look see...
-
Most Excellent Martian scenery! :-* ;)
-
What make are the Martians and how tall are they?

They look like Star Wars minis to me.
-
Indeed, FB is right...they "were" prepainted Star Wars mini's!
They are a little taller than most 28mm figs but easily usable as slender but tall aliens.
I should indeed have taken the pic much closer or added some but at the time I took it, it looked much better...I must have been drunk or someting! (although I don't think that drinking makes you see things closer or clearer than they are... o_o ;D)
But it would only have mattered a little bit against that fantastic Heldrak entry, excellent work fellow competitor!
:o

Thank you for the kind words, Northstar.
Those Star Wars figures do make excellent Martians. I would like to see a closer more detailed photo of them when this round is over.
