I've been playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky in the last two days, having purchased it from STEAM, and so far I'm enjoying the hell out of it. But it, together with a short glance at my miniature collection, got me thinking: I've got a LOT of miniatures which could serve me REALLY well for S.T.A.L.K.E.R-flavored miniature skirmishes!
So here I will post the relevant miniatures, along with thoughts about further purchases.

Here are a few miniatures which I'm thinking of using as Freedom, or, maybe, Loners (what do you think?):

A lone miniature I got as a sample from 15mm.co.uk, which I'll probably use to represent an important Stalker personality.

There Rebel Minis Armed Gunmen were originally intended to be Bandits, but now I think they fit the 'lighter' Duty fighters (like the ones in their Garbage outpost) who also wear green uniforms and ski-masks IIRC.

Eureka Miniatures 15mm Sci-Fi Germans. Would they work well as Monolith troopers? As heavy Duty troopers in Exoskeletons? Or, maybe, I should buy a few more minis of that range and paint them more appropriately for the Monolith and/or Exoskeletons?

Here are two piece of Polystyrene packaging which I think would be perfect for large concrete buildings (factories):

By the way, do you think that Rebel Minis' Titan Marines (http://www.rebelminis.com/timain.html) would make great Monolith troopers with the right paint-job?

Assorted Loners (the figures are from GZG, 15mm.co.uk and Rebel Minis):

I had a moment of inspiration while unpacking an electric cooker I was given today by a good friend of ours: the Polystyrene packaging material looked like the rim of a lake! So there I went with a crafts knife and sandpaper, and made it into a rather largish lake. After priming, the Polystyrene parts are going to be soil and the cardboard part is going to be muddy water. The plastic packaging behind it (a separate piece) is going to be made into the Ecologists' mobile bunker.
So this is going to be Yantar. Nothing beats a S.T.A.L.K.E.R zombie game!

Looks like this is coming on pretty nicely :D Looking forward to seeing how this expands further!

Thanks!

looking good.
One thing that bothers me is the cardboard underground. won't that warp or deform when you put on whatever you intend to use for water/mud ?

Better now?
