Nice use of old skool RoC chaos hounds, also what parts did you use of the second photo, the bearded guy with the gun and chain. I thought it was a sculpt, then I noted the catachan arms and possibly lasgun and the marine skull belt buckle?

I looks to me like the bearded guy has catachan arms and torso but the head is from the Chaos Marauders set. Seen some nice use of them through out your models. Where did you get the girl in the first pic with the club from? I like her and am thinking of doing a more post apoc look to my escher gang for Necromunda and also maybe use them for some post apoc games as well.

This thread is stellar.

I am familiar with some of the components in some of the conversions, but I find it hard to recognise them as they have been incorporated into the figure so well.

Fantastic work.

Thanks! To tell the truth, its toliet paper with super glue stiffner, waiting on some fresh green stuff and the urge hit me to convert. He is made from GW ,chaos, orc and ogre bits.Didnt quite turn out how I wanted but you have that every now and then.I'm an old Mordheim freak so I've loaded for bear with bits.

Canvas cloth was my goal :)The tissue just didnt have the right texture.Check out the vamp earlier in the thread. His cloak is toliet paper as well but it had a weave like pattern that makes a diference.Just dont try the kind with little butterflies on it. lol Its a usefull technique.

Sorry, missed most of this thread (until now!)

First off, it's impossible for you to live in the 'middle of nowhere', as I'm there, and I certainly would have seen you.  Although it seems our states are neighbors!

Love your super clean yet grungy paint.  Fantastic minis choices, great photos, etc. etc.

I've been holding off of a PA setting (too many other projects), but this sort of thing is really making it tempting!

Maybe you already answered this but what minis are these?

Well,we are neighbors lol.I just started PA this last december and you should stick your little toe in.The water is great! That first big fellow is a conversion from GW bits. The legs are chaos warriors ,cut the chest off and put on the new orc mounted boar boy torso. The left arm is a 40k catachans and both the head and right arm are from the old chaos warrior set.A little green stuff to smooth him out and bobs your uncle ,wicked big mutie. The albino is a Rezolution shooter I think.Got him in a lot from a buddy. Thanks for the kind words Prof.,I'll post more as completed :)

I painted the fat chick as a zombie, very cool figure, yours came out great.   Your mohawked punk came out really well too.  I have the same figure and went with a similar paintjob, but yours just POPS compared to mine.

Your painting is darned good.   If you want though, I can send you some of my figures, you can paint them and send them back and I'll give you a good critique so you can get better! lol

Obviously I'm just kidding.  You do some fantastic stuff!

Dark City Kicks Ass!!! Thanks for the compliments and its pretty easy.Start with a good solid dark black for the first coat. Then I use p3 coal black but any charcoal black would do for the big highlights then wet blend increasing amounts of a sky blue with the charcoal building up your highlights to as far as you want.Pretty fast and it comes out good.Cant beat that lol Dont be afraid to be bold, contrast is what makes it work.

I just went back to the start of this thread again for another look.

Easily one of the best PA collections out there I reckon.

Spectacular work in a spectacular thread: well done.  Keep it up please :)

BTW while you are photographing your lovely looking terrain, maybe you could take a shot of all of your PA figures in a group or groups (if its not too much hassle).  I am sure that they must look fantastic laid out together.

Yeah, You can do a much better photo shoot outside the game. In game shoots are a bit crap if you ask me, better to have fun with the game, then do some serious photo work.

My only bit of critiscism is with the fat guy with the dirty rear and the mutant right after him. On the fat guy you have all that nasty green in his crevasses except for the rear one. He needs some work back there, maybe some more darks to blend the obvious hole in the model or something.
Then on the mutant he seems to have the same hygene problems as the big guy, except he figured out how to wipe with that third arm. I know its a little thing, butt...

The rest are outstanding, as I have said before, and I am STILL waiting patiently for terrain shots.  ;)

lol Papa whatca checking the bums for? It is always nice to have a second set of eyes checking for oversights .It seems many of my minis go from the paint shop to cold storage waiting to be called into action without a second opinion. I always welcome comments though :) Good or bad there are things to be learned.Too Bo Coo ,indeed they are 28mm.I am a conversion HOUND and there are just waaaaaaaay more options, bits in 28mm.My games are skirmish type on a 4'x6' board and I have plenty of room. Here's some more of my latest minis. Thanks for looking :)(http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd485/inkwell1/003-48.jpg) (http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd485/inkwell1/015-25.jpg)(http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd485/inkwell1/019-21.jpg)[imghttp://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd485/inkwell1/003-49.jpg]http://[/img](http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd485/inkwell1/005-47.jpg)(http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd485/inkwell1/007-43.jpg)

Heya Capn. The Bull terrier is from the  Malifaux ratcatcher and the pug is from reaper. One of first posts has a bunch of out of production Games Workshop chaos hounds. I am using Mordheim rules ,I have a huge pool of players that are accustomed to the rules and everybody loves the improvement system.Did snab some Necromunda stuff and just made some add on stuff to tie it all together.Works great....so far lol

That is awesome! Thanks for the list!

A friend and I were thinking of using Gorkamorka and Digganob to play out our battles. That way we get to ride around in vehicles too!

I must have missed those Zizi666 ,too many minis....not enough time lol I'll check'em out though.

They're more Apocalyptic than PA and paint a very disturbing future. If you're easily offended, I wouldn't advise reading this.
Let's just say, the affected lose all restrains which leads to extreme violence and any possible sexual perversion you can think of...
(And no, it's not porn.)

I'm a bum-looker. Can't help it.  :o

I feel bad pointing out little things like that to a painter of your caliber, because they were in no way meant to be negative. And yes old age and failing eyesight sucketh.

Fantastic thread.

What did you modify in Mordheim to play the game ? Any army list or new rules you could post please ?

I wanted to use LOTOW but Mordheim might be better.

Well Grimm,ol buddy I would be happy to have you!  I live in a tiny apartment but if you dont mind sleeping under the game table we can work something out lol Brummie that is a Confrontation  mini, comes 2 to a pack with a handler but damned if I can remember the title. They have an annoying harness but a little file work and they are keepers. lol I'm Damned already, sold my soul to paint.  :P Mordheim is not too hard to turn to PA ,the basic mechanics and primative skill sets are in place and I stole advanced tech ideas from 40k ,gorka morka and necromunda. I created some modern weapon stats as well. Basically I divided the gangs into three categories, primatve ,modern and hi tech. Tech level determines max gang size. I've added a few additional skill sets and basically tried to convert existing bands to PA gangs to try and get a little balance  from the start. Its a work in progress but a hell of a lot of fun.Red neck Hillbillies with blackpowder guns vs. Cyborgs, hodres of muties vs.New World Order Deth Corps, makes for interesting games ;D

Thanks for your quick answer.

The Confrontation miniature is the Cadwallon dog handler (it comes with 3 dogs) :

Latest batch look fantastic as always, Inkwell! So impressed by your smooth style, and I love the splashes of colour :)

I hadn't realised how similar the EM4 and copplestone scavenger were - I realise they're both by the same sculptor, but it takes the mickey a little bit to sculpt off the same base, right?  ;D

My favourites are probably the mutie with the tentacle arm and the girl above him. Do you mind if I ask where you found those minis?

Keep up the ace work, really inspiring stuff!
