Title: Portable Underground Labyrinth
Post by: Operator5 on May 08, 2011, 01:37:27 AM
So, it seems like I may be flying out to a convention this summer and though I have no games scheduled, I may unofficially schedule a pick-up .45 Adventure game. With the fact that I am flying in mind, I am trying to come up with a portable floor system.

Initially I was just going to use some pre-printed dungeon layouts that I could buy from someone else. But as I was working on the project, I thought I could come up with something myself that would work just as well. So that spurred the pieces I am showing here.

The plan is to put some paper walls onto PVC sheet that is cut into 8", 6", 4", and 2" pieces (all the pieces are 2" tall). These can be then configured into any layout I want in just about any size. If my calculations are correct, I can get a 3' x 4' underground temple into two Flat Rate shipping boxes and send them out in advance.

Anyway, here are the test pieces I did - two walls, a floor, and a pit trap tile. The floor needs more paint yet, this was just to get the format in place. The walls have brass rod in them which are inserted into holes drilled at regular intervals into the floor.

That pit trap looks great.
