A brilliant set-up ;D
Let's hope the good people at Empress release a few more goodies for this campaign in a not too distant future...

Very nice pictures. Your table looks awesome. I enjoy looking at it every time I see new pictures. I am also surprised Chris was there. But his way to Partizan wasnt that long. He is in England at the moment. He is a very nice chap ( Hi Chris :) )

Hi Björn! lol
Actually, wanting to see that game was the deciding factor to go down to Newark, although I only made the final decision on Friday. And it was worth it, yessir! A marvellous table. It did not make we want to start Abyssinia as a project, but I did purchase a batch of Woodbine figures to do a BoB British Indian Army force for T&T with. An armoured car is already built, and two officers (Copplestone) I had lying around are already painted. ;D

Usual excellence... loved this at Salute, glad to hear the Abbi's got the Italians this time. I didn't expect that!
Who makes those tankettes?

It's always nice when the Ethiopians get their own back... the tankettes are all Empress.
Fully agree that it would be nice to see some new releases for this range soon. The one thing that I think is really, really missing is a pack of Ethiopian LMGs.

Just the business. Well done, James.

We could also use an Askari HMG, an Italian brigade/regimental level command group and some Bersaglieri, methinks. A mortar wouldn't go amiss either.

Inspirational as ever James. Well done mate.

Very nice pics. Not only is Darrell a wonderful painter, but he's also handy with a camera.

There are a few more pics but for some reason the 'Upload' feature only wanted to take one pic at a time o_o.

The pinnacle of a wargames table...top pro stuff...astounding.
How does one get thost rocks and the plateau to look so realistic?

Thank you! (Wouldn't describe my stuff as 'pro'...just an enthusiastic amateur really....) Rocks are mostly cork bark with an appropriate paint job. I guess in terms of getting it to look realistic, it's just a question of gut feeling and a bit of research with photos. Anyway, next stop for the game will be Crisis in Belgium.

Is it available anywhere? Perhaps 'on demand'?

Vcast service is free. You need an italian "health care number" to subscribe. If you do not leave in Italy you can and want a fake one you can get it here http://www.codicefiscale.us/
Using Vcast service you can record every free italian tv show, except the Berlusconi's challes. It works like a VCR. If you need Raistoria timetable to find what to watch use their website time table. If you copy http://www.raistoria.rai.it/guidatv.aspx in google translate it open the tabletime translated in english.

Excellent work on the terrain and figures, inspiring :-* :-* :-*
Participation or demo game? Participation will get more rulesets and figures sold :)

Both - some extra players guided by my regular group. In my experience, offering endless particpation games at UK shows ends up with you being used an unoffocial creche... :)
