Title: Chaos in Carpathia game
Post by: john Hollyoak on June 15, 2011, 02:05:41 PM
Last night I managed to finally get in my C-in-C game. I had painted up some Renedra tents so we used the Midnight at the Oasis scenario from Chaos in Cairo. I was a hunter party using Russian figures based on Tom Weiss' Hungarian list being attacked by werewolves where all but 2 of the hunters are asleep and stay that way until the alarm is raised. Managed to put out my 2 sentries with the lowest chance of spotting anything (doh!) and of course werewolves weren't going to make any noise. Luckily the first attack by the loup garou failed to kill the sentry so he raised the alarm. After that complete mayhem ensued. All 5 of my soldiers (Polizei stats) were killed in one round of combat. My slayer rolled 6 dice to defend against a werewolf and rolled no goals. He had 5 damage resistance with one re-roll, plus a fate die and rolled no goals - dead. Loup Garou tried to jump a tent and failed for 2 turns in a row and that gave me just enough time to kill him with silver bullets. Without that I am sure I would have lost. All I had left at the end was the leader plus dog and wife.
Many thanks to Steve Crighton who ran the werewolves and still can't work out how he lost.
Great fun - sorry no pics, even if I could take them the light at the club is rubbish.
