Title: New Perrys
Post by: joroas on June 17, 2011, 11:09:34 AM
My copy of Battlegames has Perry now listing:

New metal Prussian Napoleonic Fusiliers and a conversion kit for the plastics
New British and Hanoverians
New metal Zouaves in chasseur trousers, kepis, etc

and suggesting the imminent arrival of the Ansar.............

I've forgotten what the question was.  ;)

Sorry. I assume we're talking those plastic Ansar that were previewed a while back. I'm looking forward to seeing them in their completed glory. Might have conversion potential for my Darfur skirmish project, if that ever gets off the ground.

Yes, it seems plastic ansar are shortly arriving.  The trouble is that the website is always hopelessly out-of-date.................  :(

All very good, and I'm interested in the Ansar even though I don't really need them...

Is there any word on the Mounted Men-at-Arms kit for the Wars of the Roses, though? Really getting quite itchy at the prospect of those.

I've really been looking forward to the Ansar, I'm not sure why as I don't game Sudan. I also have the wonderful Zouaves, and the fantastic War of the Roses boxes, and I don't game those periods either. I hate the Perrys :)

Hmmm..... Now if there are kilted  types without trousers, sleeved and unsleeved arms and firearms, I may just have found a conversion source to make Yemeni tribesmen. Have to watch this release quite carefully. Two or three Eureka Zanzibari slavers, do not an army make.

Could you expand on the new British & Hanoverian please - I don't get the mag.

Thanks

Great stuff. I'm getting a few packs of metal Nile Arabs for Father's Day, so a couple of boxes of plastics will expand the force nicely :D

And as has been pointed out on other forums, the Hanoverian militia is marching casually rather than doing a Thriller-era Michael Jackson zombie walk.
