Title: Musketeer EW Brits/Woodbine Brits..help please?
Post by: discok3 on June 23, 2011, 12:49:01 PM
Anyone confirm whether I can use the Musketeer figs for Gallipoli/Eastern theatre
Year 1914-1915 seems right but was the uniform markedly different or similar...they look fairly similar from the pics on the website but confirmation from the experts one way or the other would help
The Brits I'm thinking of using also have the cap as headgear which I'm assuming helps for the warmer climes
Any help most appreciated

They're okay for Gallipoli. There are pics of Brits in the Dardanelles wearing the standard service cap and the serge uniform, also the Gor Blimey type cap (the one with the ear flaps) and sun helmets were worn too.

Warmer weather gear (sun helmets, shorts) tended to be worn in Palestine and Mesopotamia, though.
