Hi everyone,
I'm looking for small goblinesque creatures, or similar, to make swarm bases for a Sidhe (think Prince Nuada in Hellboy 2) based faction, in a game I'm working on. GW's Snotlings would be ideal, but they're so damn expensive! So anything that could pass as gremlins, gnomes (not the garden variety please), imps, fairies (tooth-fairies from HB2 rather than the tinkerbell variety), etc. The greater the variety, the better. So far I've got some old nurglings, various of those little puppet things that Rackham miniatures came with, and a few of Foundry's not-snotlings. Any advice would be appreciated. Ta.

how about using 15/18 mm goblins? The splintered lands gobbos are awesome and about the same size as a GW 80s snotling. Their kobolds are a tad smaller, but not much.

Mantic have little snotlinoids with their new plastic orks, not to everyone's cup of tea so you might be lucky and get a few off people?
Nurglings would be nice too if you can get hold of some cheap on ebay?
Good luck

Well foundry has buckets full but they're $$$$$ so you could get some off of ebay or something for a cheaper price

I've got a few 15mm goblins that you could have if you want them (no idea who made them) maybe 10 or more. PM me your address and I'll pop them in the post. ;)

Ral Partha Europe have just released the Demonworld 15mm Orcs.
Would they suit your needs?

Thanks for your ideas. Those gnoblars would be ideal, but they seem a bit too big. I suppose I could use them as something else though - need some rank & file figs, so they should fit fine as those.
I had thought of using 15mm figs, but most of those available are armed and armoured, would prefer either unarmed, or using homemade weapons, a bit like the snotlings are. Andrew, thanks for the offer, but I'll pass on it if you don't mind?
One possibility I've found are Pendraken's Trolls and Minotaurs, suitably painted and mixed in with what I've got already, should create a fearsome swarm. Think I'll get the green stuff out too, see if I can knock up some weird and warped creatures myself.
