Title: Pig faced orcs and learning to paint to tts.
Post by: Andrew May on June 28, 2011, 08:56:21 PM
Copied verbatim from my post on Frothers for your pleasure. :D
Richard at Otherworld minis kindly sent me some samples of his pfo's last year.... well I've finally finished them. I painted 3 straight away but I made my usual mistake of over doing it, i.e. going way to far with the glazes etc. Also I wasn't sure about the colour choices I had made.

I think the little speckles are dust.
Anyway I stripped the idea right back and painted these a couple of weeks ago. I'm much happier with both the result and the time it took to achieve.

Hope you like them, feedback is welcome.

Great work - the colours certainly look much more vibrant - which must be a nice feeling if they were quicker to do as well!

I like the colour choices too - even if they look a little cleaner than my idea of orcs!  8)

That female one on the end is pretty scary too...  :o

Those are great, and very nice painting too. Painted a few of those myself a while back for a customer who used them for Warhammer Quest.

The scheme is too clean for orcs but it fits so well with the "oldschool" style. Of course I love them.
