Title: Foundry AWI and Conquest FIW?
Post by: traveller on July 19, 2011, 09:30:12 AM
Would they be of similar size? Grateful for any comment!

Some will match, others won't.
Conquest, while of very high quality, is sometimes not very consistent in size, even across ranges. I have Indians from the same range that are 26mm tall whilst others are almost 30.

Thanks for your comment. I was drooling over the British regularr command pack from conquest and considered giving them command of some Foundry British.

I would say size wise it wouldn't be too much of an issue. I have all of the Perry Indians mixed in with my Conquest horde and it is very difficult to tell them apart (although the Perry are very slightly larger).

Uniform wise there is an issue as the Brit uniform of the F&I era has some differences in cut from the 1767 warrant uniform worn during the AWI. The main differences are in color (red trousers in the F&I versus white for AWI) so if you really wanted to you could probably get away with it.

That sounds great! I was inspired by another post to use Foundry AWI as Royal Marines and I think that Conquest pack had a "marine look" about them.
