Title: Impetus Barbarians
Post by: DonVoss on August 03, 2011, 07:20:24 AM
After a gaming-mate painted a cool EIR-army, I started to paint up a gallic-germanic barbarian horde for Impetus.
I had a demo game 2 weeks ago and was impressed by the rules.
So I started to paint up a few enemys for the romans.
To late I realized, that the 7 warband-bases I needed for small scale battles where per the rules twin-bases. So I had to build up 14 bases with the size of 12x6 cm just to start... :o

After crying for help, I could buy a few celtic miniatures and got even a bunch as a gift... :)

All the miniatures are Warlord-plastic with the exception of a few foundrys.

In the front you can see the 6 additional skirmishing bases with slingers.

The Bases are not fully finished. Need to paint the small ponts and add a few different flocks and grasses...

The Bases are fo 1,5mm plastic-card.

The next thing to do is the cavallary detachment...

I love impetus basing but yours is pretty spectacular. Very nice army you have there.
