Love them! My Republicans really want to kick their cojones!

Great job, Hazel! Looking forward to painting mine, to. One of the great benefits of SCW era is the array of unusual uniforms you get to paint.

Thats why I chose the Carlists. I really like their red berets..it´s a different point of view to "modern" camouflage

Right. They really seem to say: "So if THIS doesn't work, what does a fellow need to do to get shot arround here?
-
You have really captured the colours on these wonderful figures for the SCW period - Top Marks Lt H. :)

Really nice!
And I've just noticed and 'old friend ' of mine is also residing here.

i really like the priest with the gun.
somebody should have told him, the crusades are over...
-
As written over on SW, lovely. We´ve gotta get a game together!
-
Great look...How ever did you get the grass to stand like that...Mine always looks like its clumped..
-
Lovely, Hazel. The priest, is he a conversion, or should I say, ahaha, 'convert'? I don't think I have seen that mini before.

Apparently, it´s an Anglian Miniatures special figure - I got one at Crisis for free when I bought my Nationalists.
-
Nigel kindly send the priest with my order

Mmmh..the grass is brushhair. I cut off small amounts with a scissor, and then I press it into a spot of superglue-but not the thin stuff, you need super glue gel.
-
This is my first scratchbuilt piece I´ve ever done. I plan to build a wall with single sections. Well, this is the gate. Rest will follow

A small house with iconography. The damaged slogan is "VIVA CRISTO REY!"
the Carlists Battle-Cry.

-
Quite amazing stuff :D
-
Brilliant paint job ! , what rules do you use ?
-
Thanks fellas
what rules do you use ?
I´ll use the Triumph & Tragedy Rules, I like them a lot and there´ll be a scenariobook with armylists for SCW soon (this is correct Chris, isn´t it?) and give Iron Ivans Primera Batalla (?) Rules a try- somewhere in the future. IMHO
T&T is more for "Adventure/Heroic-Style-Games" and PB more "realistic".
-
What a fantastic looking army great paint jobs and very well done conversions.
Paul
-
Lt, Class stuff my good man. I thought they were going to look the part when you got them all together. and I was not wrong
excellent stuff
Nigel H
-
The Gibbon loves them. Are you using any kind of wash or is it all layering?
-
Amazing work!, really like the banner. looking forward to more updates please :)
-
Thanks Gibbon and RJ! I always paint 3 layers, no washes - except for metall: I wash Boltgun Metal with Tamiya Smoke.
-
I'm hooked on three step layering as well. Maybe you mentioned it before, but are those figs all Anglian (sp?) miniatures? You guys that get to play these unusual periods are so lucky. There is a great group of guys in the hobby in my area but we are a bit spread out and everyone likes different stuff. The Gibbon is envious.
Again, lovely figs!
-
I really like those. Looks like a real labour of love. Great results real eye for detail.
I really like your scratch built buildings I would buy those if they were in the shops. Did you do lots of research for the details.

-
but are those figs all Anglian
Yes, all Anglians- and absolutely great sculptings they are!

The 2-man-HQ-section. To complete my army there is a second squad to be painted.
-
They're nice. 8)

Alright, more eye candy! How are you doing your tall grass?
-
Thanks!
How are you doing your tall grass?
I use the hair of cheap brushes and glue them with super glue gel.
-
Hi Lt H,
Once again you bless us humble folk with lovely works of art that even Michelangelo would be jealous of! :)
Best Wishes.
-
Helen you make me turn  Thank you!
-
That is some beautiful work! I particularly like the flag and the tassle on the officer's hat.
-
Looking great Lt Hazel, and I have not forgotten our little deal.
