After seeing a battle report on here a long time ago, I was inspired to convert a few Agarix (from HF):

This led to me building a larger, more imposing figure:

...and for a year, I had a Shaman in a partial state of completion...but I finished sculpting him today and have started painting it as well...

He still needs to be highlighted, have a few details added and his base finished but after all this time I really wanted to show him off :).
Hope you like them all :) .

Wonderful!

Wonderful!
Indeed!
But how they stand up against regular 28mm figures?
-
Ah some more hideous foes for the grymn (at least I'm assuming. If they are in fact allies and have a strong trade agreement and a long history of alliances and the beetlebots are the mutual foes then you have my apology.)

This is how the little guys match up against Grymn:

They are very similar in size.
Here is a Grymn next to a standard 28mm human:

The Shaman is about 45mm tall.

Thanks for the comparison shots, it's much appreciated 8)

You can't just sculpt such things and then keep them to yourself. You have to get them cast up! Don't you know the lead Adventurer's Codex?? ;)
What's the walker on the left in the pic, btw (I reckognize the bulky suit to the right)?

Love the giant mushrooms.

Thanks.

I have always said that I will see if I can sculpt some of these up to a castable standard, I will get some cast but I am a bit away from that (these are still a little static and I am sculpting them without knowing how they would fit in a casting machine...so I would probably need advice on that before I could cast them). They are massive as well...so they would have to be resin.
As for the Vulkan, the MOD makes all the difference ;)
Oh, and being a fan of Warzone and forgetting about the awesome Vulkan Battlesuit is a crime ;).

I just filled in the head area with GS and put a hatch from Old Crow over the top...left off the frame/luggage racks as well.

That I did not reckognize the battlesuits.

Right enough of this now, can you please start a mini range and get suff cast up, jesus you've access to Pete for metal and Ian for resin so just get it done!
Thankyou... ;)
-
Wow. Awesome stuff here. :o
-
Thank you :) .
All this talk of casting...yes it takes 2 minutes to turn a sculpt into a cast...and it's free! :D ;) .
I will, at some point, start getting stuff cast but at the moment, it is too much hassle and I can't really justify the expenditure. Yes, I could make a deal with a company to take them on board...but then they wouldn't be mine, would they?
Just view all this as sculpting practice for when I do start getting stuff cast :) .

Argh...
Well, I won't be able to buy anything for some time now, until I find a new job, anyway... :?

Never said it was easy, but young one a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step... ;) Have a go at resin casting then as a little project?
