:o Dominic !!!
one Question Why Iraq 1941 they look like WW1 or Interwar Uniforms .
-
Thanks for the comments guys!
Kurgan - great job on the monsters and meanies - I confess I was worried when I saw what I was up against. Great photography too!
@Plynkes - yup, those are Pulp figs British. Love them!
@Grimm - most of the British troops sent to Iraq were from India. So they wore the uniform that was used in India at the time - tropical helmet, shorts, and 37 pattern webbing! British troops in Burma in 1940/41 also wore the same uniform. There were also Gurkhas in Iraq - same uniform, but wearing the Gurkha hat.

Invading Iraq is a habit the British Army just can't kick, Grimm!
The uniform is correct for Iraq 41, though you see as many photos of troops in tin hats as sun helmets, so they would be correct, too. They are wrong for WWI, as they have the (37 pattern) WWII webbing.
Wow. They look so different to how I remember them. Bob Murch should use your pictures on his website, Dominic. Your paint-job makes them look a lot better , and they looked pretty good before.
Just shows what a good paint-job can do.
