I have this idea for a Near Eastern archaeological site, all I need before beginning to plan the plot and decide on the participants are two things:
some nice tents for 28mm and a working crew.
1. Does anyone know of any company doing workers with pickaxes and shovels in arab dress?
2. What tents are good, preferably one with hollow interior for hiding treasure, snakes and/or assasins?
It would also be great having a police car c:a 1925-1935 for service in British or French mandates in the Near East. Any suggestions on make or model?

Coincidentally, I just bought these from Westwind:

They're pretty sweet. One day I'll finish them.

Eureka has some Sikh sappers which might work for you. Not native labour, but certainly typical for both area and era.

 Thanks Matt and Jollybob!
They look great! I love the different styles of them.
My post Xmas shopping is taking form :D
Now where do I find that extra storage space???
Cheers

Thanks Hammers! All ideas are welcome. :)
I can't find them on the Eureka site though :?
I can see their immediate use:
- Carstairs! Carstairs! Where is the native work force?
- Sorry Sir, since the find of the black vase yesterday the natives refuse to work. It's something about a prophecy of doom or some such.
- You blithering fool! Doom prophecies are a penny a dozen in these parts!
His lordship is getting annoyed and we are not making any progress. Shapurshup's tomb must be found before the end of the season!
- Why not send for a detachment of Sikh sappers sir?
- Brilliant Carstairs! I could kiss you! You always make me come up with these great ideas! I'll ask major Fothergill-Smythe for some Sikh sappers.
- True inspiration Sir.

Come to think of it the may be on the small side for your purposes. They do not go well with Copplestone.

I think Irregular do some kind of eastern warmachine crew which might be useful. Found these in there lists. Of course, you have to like their 'style'.
Siege Equipment, Wagons, Workers, Artillery etc
25/5 Civilian work party. Five figures with spades, axe or hammer
25/10 Five pushing, pulling and carrying figures in eastern split topcoats and baggy trousers
25/17 3 climbing figures, 2 sitting figures as above in Eastern dress
25/25 Three figures carrying lighted torches & buckets, two figures suitable for carrying ladders or rams (variant of 25/24 in Eastern dress)
25/32 Five women camp followers, in Eastern dress
25/37 Five artillerists in Eastern dress
25/89 Camp Pack - Great for DBA/DBM. Includes palisade (where applicable), pack animals, domestic animals, cooking paraphernalia, civilians, baggage. (Please state nationality and era and we'll make it up for you)

Thanks for the tip Twrch Trwth I'll check them out. :)
Hammer , too bad they aren't compatible with Copplestone....I just got their archaeologists. Hope they are compatible with Brigade games and Westwind

I think there a bit on the small side. Still if you want to make your heroes look even more impresive, towering over the locals.
