Hello! I've already 'introduced' myself in the workbench forums, but i thought i would be a little more formal (informal?) and post here, also i thought i might get a little more information on the state of gaming in Reading, my soon to be new home.
I've restarted the hobby in the last year or so, and LAF was one of the places which convinced me i might be able to find the sort of enjoyment whose absence drove me away ten-odd years ago (narrative campaigns, GM'ed games and imagination).
I seem to enjoy things that no-one else does, i'm interested in doing some ECW/Medieval skirmish, modern zombie, and even 3rd edition WFB (don't ask). usually building some terrain item or other.
Chris.

Welcome aboard, Zaheer - with an interest list like that I'm sure you'll fit right in. Pull up a chair and help yourself to a beverage of your choice!

Welcome. Your area is well-served with 2 big shows, Newbury next week and Reading in a few weeks. Plenty of members of LAF go and they obviously have big clubs.

B'dum ching!
If Carlos hadn't made that joke I was going to.
Welcome to LAF Zaheer, I'm sure you'll find plenty to interest you. I'm sure there are plenty of gamers in the Royal Berkshire area... and if campaigns are your thing I'm sure I'll be bumpiung into some of your threads before long.
Enjoy!

Welcome to the LAF!
For the ECW skirmish, do you have a rule set in mind? If not, you might have a look at GW's Mordheim game (which you can download for free from their site). It is a fantasy skirmish game - a very good one - that I think would be easily adaptable to the ECW period.
