Shortly after the declaration of war against Prussia. The Queen (Gaud Bless 'Er) retired to her estate at Balmoral accompanied by her faithful companion John Brown.

Dixon Miniatures stagecoach minus the roof rails and the rear luggage rack. The driver received a head swap and a greenstuff coat. :)

I like this one.

Mr. Brown, please check the shrubbery for pickelhaubed assassins. That's a good man.

An upside-down Fleur-de-lys? What's this, the Widder at Windsor cocking a snook at the poor old Bourbons? Bad form, ma'am. Bad form.

The Royal Consort painted it one afternoon, in a fit of jocularity perhaps encouraged by a morning's sampling of the local spirits. The Queen (Gaud Bless Her) has forbidden the staff from repainting it.

Edit: All mentions of the Queen (Gaud Bless Her) are required to include the phrase "(Gaud Bless Her)" under penalty of stern looks and mocking cartoons in Punch.

Why not go all the way... Her Majesty© The Queen™ (Gawd bless her®).

Because Crown Copyright expires after six months in most cases and has extensive non-commercial use permissions. Therefore if she ever was Her Majesty© The Queen™ (Gawd bless her®):

"The Queen" (Gaud Bless Her) would be Crown Copyright-expired.
"Her Majesty" would be non-specific to this particular Queen (Gaud Bless Her) and thus not copyrightable.
(Gawd bless her®) would have to have have the registration maintained by one of her many, many descendants.

Do you think I attended all those seminars on intellectual property because they were fun? Well I didn't see anyone having fun, Mister!

Mr. Brown would make a fine gunslinger, and The Queen (Go'bless'er) an elderly Bandits' Ma.
Oh dear, not too respectful, was that?

He looks even better in person. The Queen looks great too - fantastic job on prying the shotgun from her hands.

Thanks :) The shotgun was a pain to remove as it took her hand and most of her arm below the elbow. So I had to use Greenstuff to remodel the arm etc.
I prefer her without the weapon. Somehow It doesn't feel right her majesty wielding a 12 gauge.(Although I am sure she is a crack shot)

If I ever get another Queen Victoria ltd edition I'll do the same. Although there should really be someone out there who would make a Queen Victoria model without African jewelry or a shotgunn.......

I've got one, made by Foundry. Only it is a young Victoria (with the Prince Consort), so doesn't quite fit the image of her in people's minds.

I didn't realize that such a figure existed! Do you have a pic?

Not to hand, but if I can find the damn thing I'll take one and post it up.

It was one of those monthly giveaways they used to do. I had no immediate use for it, so have never painted it. But I like it too much to get rid of it. One day I may well find something for it to do.

.... and I think we can read that as a challenge to one of the manufacturers on this forum

Add me to the list of gamers who wish there was a readily available source of a Queen Victoria figure a) not in strange (African) attire, b) unarmed and c) that did not require hunting round on Ebay in order to obtainan OOP figure.

Chairface, I'm so sorry I never posted that pic for you. It completely slipped my mind until just now when I was rummaging through some of my unpainted Foundry stuff and came across the figures. I suddenly had this nagging thought... 'Hang on a minute. Wasn' I supposed to... Oh bugger!'

So anyway, here it is at last:

Hey, you're a busy man Plynkes. Thanks for remembering! Awesome figs - they look so young. Perfect for scenarios with young Colonel Flashman!
