Title: Hello from Midlam Manor
Post by: paulvonscott on September 18, 2011, 11:54:13 PM
Hi there,

I've been pretty obsessed with miniatures since I was in my teens, occasionally, but not quite ever giving up the habit.  It's now probably as bad as ever!

I have particualry fine collections of Judge Dredd/Cthulhu/Fantasy/SF/Wild West/Pirates/Pulp/Slaine/Celtic etc. etc. etc.  I usually paint many of the figures for my weekly role-playing session and use that as an excuse to buy more and more miniatures :p

This year, having bought the rights to some of the old Metal Magic range (of which I've always been a huge fan), I've used it as a basis to launch my own modest miniatures range, with some new sculpts by Josef Ochmann, Kev Adams, and myself, which has been very rewarding (well, spiritually speaking).

Other than that, I have a day job (i.e. the one that pays me) and way too many things on my hands at any one time.

All the best

Paul Scott

You should branch out more - there are loads of great miniatures in other genres, you know!

Welcome to LAF!

Good luck with the miniatures company.  The old metal magic range had some great figures.

Welcome.  That's a nice well rounded list of genres I can relate to.  The "painting many of my figures" part I'm still working on. :)
