Not sure how many of you follow my blog (http://www.blog.kings-sleep.me.uk) but I thought you may be interested to see the VSF / Holmes game laid out by Shaun from the Bunker as a filler game :o

I do have to apologise to Shaun - these do not do the work justice as they where shot hand held on my compact camera and you know how dark the back hall at Partizan is :-[
Must sort out a date to take the big camera with me...

Superb setting for a game!

I would never have thought of using Hovels North Europe buildings for a dockside...........
-
I covet that board! Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
-
By the Gods those pics are GREAT :o :o :o :-* :-* :-* :-*

I love to hear about the scenario, what rules were used and AARs
It was only set up as a demo on the day but I understand its based on the 'old' 221B Baker Street game and you run around the board looking for things.
If Shaun is around would he care to explain more?
-
That's brilliant :-*
-
Superb!
-
I'm in awe!

Your filler game looks better than a lot of planned out display games I have seen at gaming events. Just stunning.
-
That. Is. Orgasmic.
-
Dang...really what is there to say...just, wow.
-
Thanks for the kind words gents & thanks Andrew for posting.
The game is based on the board game 221b Baker Street with a wargame bolted on. The players try to solve the crime as in the board game, but Holmes style encounters get in their way - the wargame bit.
I have used several board game for inspiration/systems- Buccaneer is in the pipeline.
I hope that some of you gents will make your way to The Bunker & sample them first hand!
Regards

Brilliant layout Shaun! :-*
Just the sort of inspiration I need for my project.
Thanks for sharing the pics Andrew.

Thanks TC
A note regarding scale-
Although the game is billed as 25/8mm, it contains elements of HO/OO, 1/72nd, 1/64th, 25mm,1/43rd, 1/32nd, 1/12th (Dolls House) & 1/1 (B & Q Wallpaper!)

That's a fantastic board - and it was only a filler game! I'm in awe.
Love the idea of using 221B - I have fond memories of the original version.

Thanks Colonel
At £2.50 from a charity shop the game was a must. The problem with any game involving a hero is that he is either far too good or just not good enough! By having Sherlock as a random card that helps the players the problem is negated. Adding random encounters such as Pickpockets/Tongs/London Peculiar etc gives the right feel to the game
