Your Japanese terrain is fantastic... great attention to detail. The edges of the paddies are amazingly realistic.

Stunning. :o
When do you plant the rice JB?
Well, the rice season is almost over so the fields will be left until next years crop is ready ;D
To be honest, I haven't found a suitable way to model the rice yet but I'm working on it :)

Very nice terrain, thanks for sharing it. I enjoyed it a lot actually, and even got some spark to fire up my own creative engine, and even took to the brush! :)

Excellent work, James! I can smell them thru the computer screen!

Really nice stuff. I wish I had the knack for making terrain... But it seems I just don't have it. :'(

I thought Paddy Feilds was an Irish crooner from the 50's.

No, that was Gracie Fields......... :o
-
People forget that Gracie was so popular that they named a lavatory after her... the WC Fields.
-
There is a link actually. In Korea the GI's noted that the most popular method for Korean peasants to fertilise their paddy fields was to use human ordure.
Jim is an outstanding modeller, with a keen eye for detail but I'm not sure how even he could capture the smell.
